How to Market Your CD and Create a Buzz
To attract serious interest in the music industry today—whether it is from a record label, publishing company, manager or attorney—independent artists must be proactive about their careers and accomplish a great deal on their own first.
However, with no organized plan of attack or blue-print in place, many artists fall short of reaching their dreams and moving forward to that next level of their careers. Sadly, their gigs are poorly attended, boxes of CDs left unsold under their beds—and even worse—the band calls it quits after months or years of developing.
How To Market Your CD and Create A Buzz offers step-by-step quick tips essential in putting together and initiating your own personal “Marketing Plan of Attack.”™ And since money is tight for most artists, it’s presented from the perspective of having a ZERO TO LIMITED DOLLAR BUDGET!
Tips Include: Develop a Gigging Strategy, Identify Your Film/Television/Game Plan, Know your Internet Scheme, Align With Corporate Sponsors, Build a Print Media Plan, Consider Your Video Goals, Plan a Realistic Advertising Campaign, Conceive a Sales/Distribution Strategy, and so much more. Special Features Include: Complete Resource Guide with Over 200 Contacts and a Roundtable Interview with Industry Pros.
Make no mistake: Having no plan is like planning to fail. Having a plan and failing to execute it is equally as damaging.

Perfect Balance of Clarity and Focus
By Rondi Marsh
"Bobby, your resources are a perfect balance of clarity and focus but enough of the details to grasp the complicated sort of 'grey areas'. You understand that the people who tend to need and read your book (like me) are artists who need that sort of simplicity to keep us focused on the big picture—yet the details are there if and when you need to really tune into them."
A Reflection of What is Current
By Geoff Tyson
Yo Bobby, I LOVE your books. They are well written, very informative and impressive in how up to date they are. Times have changed in the last few years and I am happy to be reading something that is a reflection of what is current.
The Best of the Many I’ve Read For School
By Seth Owen
Bobby, I've read many books for school and entertainment on the music business and yours are definitely the better ones. It's more fulfilling to read about any industry from someone who has experienced both spectrums (being an artist and then an industry professional). Great job!
Knowledge to Make the Right Decisions
By Angelica
Hi Bobby, I wish I would have had read your books when I first got signed by an indie label when I was only 14. I had no idea at that time about the music business. I just wanted to sing on stage and inspire others. Your books would have given me the knowledge to make the right decisions.
