FORD CREATING VERSION OF UBER?

(A FORD VERSION OF UBER???)--Ford NOW Thinks of itself as a "Mobility" Company

In 1960, Harvard Business school professor Theodore Levitt wrote about Marketing Myopia, and how companies lose out an opportunities by thinking of themselves narrow-mindedly, which only stifles innovation when designing new products. He asked companies to consider, "What Business Are They In?"

Recently, Mark FIELD, CEO of FORD CARS, announced that moving forward into the future, Ford will no longer think of itself as just an automobile "manufacturer," but rather think of it's itself as a "mobility" company.

There are a lot of cars on the road and people are concerned with congestion as well as the damage they cause to the environment. Ride Share Companies like Uber and Lyft are thriving. FORD will also investigate this space as well and investigate further the electric car market.
